Tasting notes

Nose: caramel, vanilla, old wood, tarragon soaked in sweet white wine, whipped cream, raisins. 19/25

Palate: „not as sweet as you think.” Bitter herbs – again tarragon dominates, muscovado sugar, Cocoa-rum candies, Egg liquor, ripe plums, hay, caramel and vanilla. Pleasantly. 19/25

Finish: short and not very clear. Cola, ginger, caramel, vanilla, raisins. 17/25

Balance: I was always fascinated by this amazing, accent of tarragon – so specific in Jameson. It’s an interesting Irish Whiskey. Alcohol, quite poorly hidden, but most buyers will buy it to mix it in drinks … I like it neat, at room temperature. From a glencairn glass. 20/25

Overall: 75/100
