Monkey 47
Review of a fantastic Gin today. Known in the whole world, Monkey 47 goes under the microscope, or rather into a glass.
Produced in Germany
47% alcohol
Color: neutral
Nose: tangerine, lime skin, lemongrass, ginger, cardamom, coriander. A little alcoholic, what shouldn’t be a surprise if you consider the ABV level. Besides, sensational. 21/25
Palate: bitter orange, candied fruit, nutmeg, juniper, rosemary – very noticeable forest accents, coriander, mango. Quite sweet and very intense, but alcohol does not bother – it is rather quite … „tame”. 22/25
Finish: ripe peach, coriander, cinnamon, cloves. Forest, pleasant, long. 22.5 / 25
Balance: great Gin. From the smell, to the finish, very high level. You can definitely drink it neat instead of mixing it with tonic or anything else. 24/25
Overall: 89.5 / 100
Price: from about 180 PLN. In some online stores I even saw an unreasonable price of over PLN 300. On amazon.de you can buy it for 32 €.
Quite commonly available in large stores with alcohol. In Germany, you can buy it in almost every supermarket.
I definitely recommend it.
