It’s special moment tonight. Ladies and Gentelman, there’s Blackadder Raw Cask Rum from the FourSquare distillery in my glass.

Foursquare is probably the most well-known rum distillery in Barbados. It’s family owned since 1820. Richard Seale belongs to the forth generation and he is now the owner and the Master Blender of the distillery. He is known for his fight against unfairness in the world of rum. It is mainly about the fact of adding sugar and other additives aimed at „cheating” a potential buyer and giving the impression of a more „smooth” arranged spirit. Clément Rhum Vieux Agricole V.S.O.P.

Today we are facing an interesting rum. It is Clément Rhum Vieux Agricole, made from sugar cane juice. Rums, which base product was not molasses, bring a lot of freshness and have a completely different character than those made of molasses.

Barrel ageing time: minimum 4 years

Matured in new French oak casks, finished in re-charred Bourbon barrels

Havana Club. You could say: „rum known all over the world”, but as it turns out… not so famous as you’d think. Sold by a well-known spirit selling company, Pernod Ricard (owned by such brands as: Glenlivet, Ballantine’s, or even American Wild Turkey), until recently, it was impossible to buy this rum in the USA.
